Street Feast

Shoreditch

Street Feast does exactly what it says on the tin, bringing a fully licensed outdoor food market to Shoreditch every Friday night this summer. Kicking off on 4 May, the market will run for the next 12 weeks until 20 July. Eight of the capital's most well-known and high profile street food traders are taking part, including top Mexican eatery Wahaca. They will be joined by the very best in Vietnamese, Thai, and West Indian cuisine and many more delicacies from all over the world.

The market will be open from 5pm to midnight each week on Sclater Street car park, the former site of a Victorian bird market near Brick Lane. Within the car park is a car wash, and this forms part of the centrepiece of the event. It will be transformed into a glamorous dining room, with guaranteed seating, real cutlery and plates and waiting staff to deliver your choice of foods from the traders. Bookings here must be made in advance, but your organisation will be rewarded.

Other than Wahaca, Street Feast also sees contributions from the legendary Big Apple Hot Dogs, smokey barbecue from The Rib Man, gourmet meatballs from The Bowler, Caribbean treats from Mama's Jerk Station, Korean delicacies from Kimchi Cult, pillowy steamed buns with sweet sticky pork from Yum Bun, wood-fired pizza from New Zealand's Homeslice and Asian street food from the brilliantly-named Hardcore Prawn.

Beer comes courtesy of the ultra-hip microbrewery Camden Town Brewery, with the bar also serving wine and cocktails. Whether this is your post-work treat or the first stop of a big night out, Street Feast has something for everyone and promises to entertain as well as fill your stomach every Friday night.
