MADD

Soho
Desserts/cocktails

Madd in Soho is a very unique concept, a dessert and cocktail bar that specialises in mangoes. If you like the sticky sweetness of the tropical fruit then this is the place for you! Even the name comes from their love of mangoes, being short for Mango Addiction. Madd is a very appropriate contraction though as everyone who works here seems to be absolutely barking.

The concept is simple. Choose a base for your dessert from the sixteen on the menu, including mango pudding, mango tart or, for the more adventurous sticky Siam mango rice. For non-mango lovers, you may want to start with waffles, brownies or the tart of the day. Next, add a selection of toppings; one topping is free as standard, but you can have as many as you like for a little extra. The toppings include fresh fruit (mango, strawberry, kiwi, pineapple, lychee etc), tiny tapioca balls bursting with mango juice, Oreo cookies, nuts or raisins.

Alternatively, you could try one of their pre-made desserts such as the Crunch; a layered treat of mascarpone, berries and mangoes with crunchy crumbles; or the Crumble which consists of fresh mango cubes, yoghurt and honey topped with crumble (obviously). If they're not up your street, there's also the coconut or mango sago bowls or a range of delicious milkshakes and ice cream.

Of course, all this sweet food needs to be washed down with something, and Madd specialises in some pretty tasty mango cocktails. Our favourites include the mango daiquiri, mango mojito and mango caipirovska. If you prefer your drinks to go down the hatch a little quicker, then there's also a range of mango shooters, mixing the fruit with vodka, baileys, tequila or Cointreau.

While the cocktails are perfect for after-work socialising, Madd is also open for breakfast, offering toasties, muesli and hot drinks. And to reward your early morning visit, every purchase between 11am and midday comes with a free mango dessert with the voucher on their website. With offers like that, you'd be Madd to miss out!
